Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event: What To Expect

Samsung’s annual Galaxy unpacked event is almost here with us. The official date is scheduled for Aug. 11 at 10 a.m. Eastern time with Samsung already sending out teasers about what we should expect.

The theme of the event is “is ‘good’ good enough? according to a trailer video released by the company.

New pictures that have been surfacing online reveal that we might be seeing some pretty interesting products from Samsung. They include the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Buds 2, and the Galaxy Watch 4.

From the narration in the trailer video shared by Samsung, the company has made massive changes to the design of all the phones it plans to release on that day. It is also clear that we will now be getting two foldables from Samsung.

Leaker Snoopytech posted a series of leaked images on Twitter showing the Z Fold 3 in a variety of colors.

There will not be a Galaxy Note

It looks like we might not be getting a Galaxy NOTE device. The NOTE series has always been my favorite series from Samsung so I am a little bit disappointed. Again this is not surprising as there have been rumours going around that the company might be killing this series.  The move is reportedly pegged on the declining demand for devices in the premium segment that has been caused by the pandemic.

By axing the Note series, which has continued to become less attractive, Samsung said it will double down its efforts to its foldable phones, the Galaxy Z series. This explains why we are getting two foldables this year.
