Microsoft’s Your Phone App now supports call routing from Android to PC

Microsoft’s Your Phone app now supports making calls directly from your Windows 10 PC. The new feature is baked inside Microsoft’s latest preview build 18999 for Insiders (20H1), which has added call support in Your Phone app.

With the new update, you can finally leave your phone in your pocket no matter what. The latest update enables users to place calls directly via Your Phone app using the in-app dialer or contact list, and even answer incoming calls from your PC. (Contact list must be from your Windows People app, and not your Android contact list.)

You will also be able to decline calls and send them to your phone’s voicemail or respond with a custom text. A call history will also be available, and you can even swap calls between your PC and your phone seamlessly.

To enjoy these new features, you have to meet particular criteria, though.

Requirements for using Call Routing on Your Phone App

On the Android side, Your Phone’s calling feature is available for all Android phones with Android 7.0 (Nougat) or newer. Oh, sorry iPhone users Microsoft has not mentioned anything to do with iOS for now. For Windows PC, your device must have Bluetooth support. Besides Windows PC must be running on Windows 10 build 18362.356 or newer.

Currently, there is a good chance you cannot be able to use the new Calls feature unless you are part of the Windows Insider program. As per now, Microsoft is gradually rolling out to Insiders on 19H1 builds or newer.

For public rollout, you might have to wait for sometime before receiving this feature.
