DCA extends application deadline for Miss. Africa Seed-Fund Impact Program


Miss.Africa Initiative led by DCA Academy has announced that it is extending the application deadline for its Miss.Africa Seed- Fund Impact programme

The applications were initially supposed to close on 31st December 2021. DCA however says it’s extending the application period to enable as many women as possible to apply.

The Miss.Africa Seed- Fund Impact programme will offer grants to support women and girls in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields to launch or expand their own initiatives that will increase their digital opportunities in IT related training, jobs and leadership roles.

It’s open to women from across Africa. Eligible projects eligible for grant funding include, but are not limited to computer science workshops and trainings for women and girls, early incubation of female tech entrepreneurs, programming and app development training programs and hackathons and coding boot camps for girls. 

The winning initiative will receive a seed grant of $5,000 to assist them to start or expand their capacity. They will also receive a  3-week Growth Accelerator, and a Media package worth $1000. The second and third winners will each receive $1000. 

Interested women entrepreneurs can submit their applications here. Applications will close on March 15th, 2022.
