#CES2016: Panasonic is bringing the world’s most popular turntables back

Panasonic is making the world’s most popular turntables again, yes, you heard me right. The company unveiled Two Technics SL-1200 turntable models the world at the ongoing CES 2016 in Las Vegas.

In what Panasonic says was inspired by a resurgence in vinyl record sales the new model has an updated motor, which the company says makes it quieter and reduces resulting in an overall better sound output.

The turntables will come in two new models, but the 50th anniversary edition (Grand Class SL-1200GAE) is limited to just 1,200 units.

The launch comes at a time when most DJs had started complaining over the discontinuation of the famous brand which ceased in 2010.

Pricing hasn’t been announced, but it is indeed something we will be keenly following and maybe I should just start saving to get one for my Dad.
