GreenHouse Capital announces 13 startups selected for the Microsoft Scale-up Accelerator


Thirteen startups from East and West Africa are set to benefit from a six-week accelerator program by GreenHouse Capital and Microsoft.

The Scaleup Accelerator Programme is targeted at startups a the pre-series A stage looking to expand into new markets. The selected companies include six male-founded and seven female-founded.

Nigeria has the most beneficiaryĀ  with nine firms namely Ourpass,Ā One Health,Ā GetEquity,Ā Oystr,Ā Chekkit,Ā Eight Medical,Ā Herconomy,Ā PharmarunĀ andĀ Mobiele. Kenya is represented by BuuPass,Ā GobebaĀ andĀ Zydii, while Tanzaniaā€™sĀ Afya BoraĀ caps the list.

The programme is organized into 12 instructor-led sessions, 10 workshops and three-panel discussions. Startup founders will be equipped with skills to help them access new markets, technology infrastructure, technical skills as well as funding opportunities.

  • Marketing & Growth
  • Sales and Business Development
  • Technical Workshops

The other aspect of the training is a demo day session that will bring global investors to meet the startup founders.
