Twitter is down, that’s why your tweets are not loading

Been wondering why I am unable to send out #AFCON2019 tweets for the just ended Cote d’ivoire Vs Algeria match. Well, Twitter is down.

Twitter users trying to log on to the social network this Thursday are being greeted with  “Something is technically wrong” message. Both the mobile and web-based version of Twitter are being affected by this outage. Tweets are not loading or even showing the like and retweet notification.

Twitter has however sent out an alert on its status page saying ”We are currently investigating issues people are having accessing Twitter. We will keep you updated on what’s happening.”

Well, looks like you might have to keep those tweets you had planned to tweet until this issue is resolved.

More info to follow.

Update:

The service is now back for some users.

Twitter says ”the outage was due to an internal configuration change, which we’re now fixing. Some people may be able to access Twitter again and we’re working to make sure Twitter is available to everyone as quickly as possible.”
