Xiaomi Launches Redmi 10 2022 in Kenya


Just days after unveiling its budget Redmi 10A in Kenya, Xiaomi is yet again introducing another smartphone series, the Redmi 10 2022 in the local market.

The Redmi 10 2022 is an upgrade of the Redmi 10 and will ve available in three variants:

  • 4GB + 64GB at Ksh. 19,499/-
  • 4GB + 128GB at Ksh.21,499/-
  • 6GB + 128GB at Ksh. 22,799/-

With this device launch, Xiaomi says raises the bar yet again for the segment by making exceptional performance available at a highly affordable price, making it a top-of-the-line contender in its bracket. 

Redmi 10 2022 specs

Redmi 10 2022 sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) DotDisplay screen with an AdaptiveSync refresh rate of up to 90Hz. The phone also gets Reading Mode 3.0 which effectively reduces eye strain by offering a paper-like quality to your reading experience as well as Sunlight display, has 405ppi pixel density.

It runs Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 out-of-the-box and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 SoC, paired with Arm Mali-G52 GPU. It comes in three variants we mentioned above and the storage can be expanded via a microSD card (up to 512GB).

For the cameras, the phone features an AI quad rear camera setup that comprises a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 120-degrees field-of-view, and two 2-megapixel depth and macro sensors with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies and video calls, there’s an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

Redmi 10 2022 packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging and 9W reverse wired charging.

The phone will be available in Carbon Gray and Sea Blue colour options and can be purchased from Xiaomi recommended retailers from across the country.
