Twitter’s new ‘Threads’ Feature is now available for everyone

On Tuesday, Twitter announced that it was launching a new feature that will allow users to easily post tweetstorms. The company had last month announced that it was testing the feature, which it’s now calling ‘’threads’’ across its iOS and Android Apps.

Twitter has been rolling out the feature slowly to everyone, and now users in Kenya can also use it. Twitter has made it easy for users to create a thread by simply adding a plus button in the composer so that you can connect your thoughts and publish your threaded Tweets all at the same time.

With the new feature, you can also continue adding more Tweets to your published thread at any time with the new ‘’Add another Tweet’’ button. Twitter has also made it simpler to spot a thread by adding an obvious ‘’Show this thread’’ label.

This new update comes a few weeks after the company also expanded its character count to 280 to give users more room to express themselves.

‘’But we know people also may want to serialize a longer story or thought, or provide ongoing commentary on an event or topic. That’s where this update to threads comes in! ‘’ Twitter said in blog post.

We have all be using tweetstorm for a number of reasons – to tell personal or funny stories via Twitter or to connect facts around breaking news or even make noise about politics like what we saw during the just concluded elections in the country.

Tell us what you think about this new feature.
