Telkom’s 5GB Night Data Bundles Now Work from 10pm to 6am

After quietly increasing the cost of its 5GB night data bundles from 39 bob to 50 in May, Telkom Kenya is now extending the hours that the bundles work.

In a text message sent to its customers on Saturday, the telco confirmed an abrupt change in the usage hours from 12 am to now 10 pm to 6 am.

It’s a nice gesture to say “sorry we messed up.” In May the company made a controversial price change to its night data increasing the price from 39 bob to 50bob.

But now that the Telkom 5GB Night Data Bundles usage hours have been increased, it means that you can use the bundles to stream some late-night premier league games, download that latest TV Show and still make it to bed in time.

Telkom Kenya’s night data bundle offering is unparalleled to data deals offered by the two remaining mobile providers.

Airtel offers 3GB of night data bundles for 39bob while Safaricom has no such thing. However, Safaricom’s 2GB data bundles @ 50 bob valid for 1 hour is their sweetest deal yet and can be used at any time of the day.
