TECNO was also at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2O20, which was held last week. The company, for the first time, showcased its iteration of the original TECNO Camon 12 Pro built with a Google Assistant button.

With the Google Assistant button, users will be able to perform some quick actions using voice commands like playing music, reading their SMS texts loud, opening apps, setting reminders, and more.

Like the original TECNO Camon 12 Pro, it still runs on Android 9.0 Pie and has a triple camera setup on the rear made of a 16MP primary lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP wide-angle lens.

The device was one of the many devices presented at Google’s CES 2020 booth, courtesy of a new partnership with the Mountain-View based tech giant. Through the newly announced partnership, TECNO Mobile says it will be able “to bring the latest Android operating system to customers.”

“TECNO emphasizes immersive user experiences provided through cutting-edge hardware and software,” said Stephen HA, president of TRANSSION and GM of TECNO Mobile.

“We are delighted to embark on this mission with Google,” he added.
