So Samsung is releasing the Samsung Galaxy S7 to other markets from 11Th March and my expectations are so high. So much has been going round on what to expect from the company. But what should we really expect?
In this article, I am going to telling you what features the S7 will come with, and some of the upgrades the company has made to this smartphone.
First, let me start with the essentials which include the size, resolution and storage and some other few specifications.
Size: 5.1inch screen, 142.4 x 69.6 x 7.9mm
Resolution: 1,440 x 2,560
RAM: 4 Snapdragon 820
Dimensions: 142.4 x 69.6 x 7.9 mm (5.61 x 2.74 x 0.31 in)
Weight : 152 g (5.36 oz)
What did Samsung do about the design?
Well, the Galaxy S7 actually doesn’t bring any surprises. It is really different from the Galaxy S6 save for a few differences.
Samsung says high end technology is encapsulated inside an inviting comfortable design of the Galaxy S7. It adds that it’s a perfect marriage seen by paying attention to usability, but also keeping a sharp eye on craftsmanship. But is this really the case? Well, to some extent, yes. Why? The Galaxy S7 is much sleeker. Samsung has scrapped the metal rim around the home key, so the button fits in with the overall design a bit better, this is really interesting. The corners of the handset are also more rounded, and the aluminum frame has been cleaned up a lot. The Galaxy S7 has a lot less of an overhang than the S6, which is quite nice.
Another thing, the Galaxy S7 is smaller. It will be hard for you to notice since the screen size is exactly the same as its predecessor, but from its dimensions you can tell Samsung managed to reduce the S7’s height and width slightly.
Galaxy S7 is Water and dust resistant
Now this is one of the most interesting things. The Galaxy S7 is waterproof. With a new water and dust resistant design, with an IP68 rating, Samsung says the Galaxy S7 is guaranteed to function normally even when submerged more than a meter deep in water for up to 30 minutes.
…….and the Camera? Well, it’s a Dual Pixel Camera
Samsung says it decided to set standards in mobile photography with the Galaxy S7. Recent years have seen smartphone cameras advance and evolve in incredible ways. While equipped with plenty of features and functions of DSLR cameras that allow users to capture great photos anywhere at any time, previous smartphone cameras didn’t quite stack up to DSLR cameras in terms of taking high quality photographs in low-light environments. However, the new Galaxy S7 has overcome these limitations by employing the Dual Pixel image sensor—a first for a smartphone.
With the new sensor, the camera of the Galaxy S7 allows for fast shooting while ensuring great image quality, regardless of lighting conditions. In addition, the flagship device includes new camera features such as Motion Panorama and Selfie Flash, to provide an entirely new phonetography experience.
Need more?…ok here we go, a cooling system
In order to ensure the Galaxy S7 can handle even the toughest of processing loads—for example, from really graphics-intensive games—these new devices have added a cooling system, with a very thin thermal spreader.
Before I forger adding a hybrid SIM tray to the new Galaxy S7 , these smartphones can now be expanded up to 200GB of memory, ensuring there is plenty of room for the photos, videos, music and other content that users want to carry with them.
What does the phone come with. Any accessories?
Of course no smartphone is complete without its accessories, so does the Galaxy S7. Samsung offers a collection of accessories to complement the design and enhance the features of the Galaxy S7. From battery packs and a LINE Friends collection to a new LED View Cover and the lifestyle band, Charm, these new accessories offer seamless integration to enhance one’s personal style.
That should be enough..for now!
