Oppo, in addition to the recently launched Oppo K3, has added yet another device in their docket. Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10X Zoom are the new handsets from Oppo. The Reno 10X Zoom is, however, another midrange device with flagship aspirations. Just like the most 2019 midrange handsets both devices feature a bezel-less, notch-less design with a full display screen.
The Reno sports a 6.24-inch display while the Reno X Zoom has a 6.6-inch display screen both using AMOLED screen technology. Both handsets have 2340 by 1080 pixels display resolution with a 93.1% screen to body ratio.
However, under the hood, the Oppo Reno has a Qualcomm SDM710 chipset paired with an Adreno™ 616 GPU. The Reno 10X Zoom has a Qualcomm SM855 chipset paired with an Adreno™ 640 GPU making it sideline the Oppo Reno in terms of performance.
Both devices come in two options, either 6 or 8gigs of RAM paired with either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The Oppo Reno 10X Zoom has more battery capacity with 4000mAh other than 3700mAh in the Oppo Reno.
Oppo Reno comes with Dual-lens rear cameras: 48MP + 5MP with a 16MP front camera sensor. The Reno 10X Zoom has triple lens camera setup with 48MP + 8MP + 13MP. The Reno 10X main telephoto lens has 10X zoom ability- the feature that inspired the Oppo Reno “10X Zoom” naming.
Other specs on the sheet include both NFC and OTG support, in-display fingerprint, LTE connectivity and both run on the latest Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6. The handsets come in two varied colors; Ocean Green and Jet Black.
The two devices were launched by Oppo in New Delhi India. Both devices will go on sale from 7th June in India although their availability in Kenya is yet unknown as per now.
You can get the Oppo Reno with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for Rs 32,990 (approx.. KES 48,000), while the Reno 10X Zoom with 8GB RAM and 256GB will cost you Rs 49,990 (approx. KES 72,500). We’re not sure when the two devices will be unveiled locally.
