Jumia Black Friday Ultimate Battle – iPhone X + Samsung Galaxy Note 9


We have previously told you about the Jumia Ultimate Black Friday 2018 deals which will begin on the 23rd of November 2018 at 9 am. On this day, customers will enjoy huge discounts on products like Unga for Ksh. 20, groceries, and even tech products like TVs and phones.

And now Jumia has also announced what it is calling The Jumia Black Friday Ultimate Battle where customers will be battling for the Ultimate Treasure Hunt that will include the iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 for Ksh.5 bob. Starting at 11 pm on Thursday 22nd, two teams will battle it out live on Jumia Kenya’s social media platforms. Customers can also participate by joining live from their favourite channel : Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Youtube.

It’s a treasure hunt meaning the two phones will be hidden somewhere on the Jumia website for shoppers to find them. Customers will have to look, get clues and it will typically take about 10-15 minutes for them to find the Ultimate Treasure Hunt. Jumia did a Twitter poll on which phone customers will prefer between the iPhone X and the iPhone. You can check the results here. The conversation was also among the top trending topics yesterday among Kenyans on Twitter.

The iPhone X was launched in November last year, but still witnesses a huge craze amongst gadget or iPhone lovers.The phone comes with a 5.80-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1125 pixels by 2436 pixels at a PPI of 458 pixels per inch. It is powered by 2.39GHz hexa-core processor and it comes with 3GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Apple iPhone X packs a 12-megapixel (f/1.8, 1.22-micron) primary camera and a 12-megapixel (f/2.4, 1.0-micron) secondary camera on the rear and a 7-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The phone is powered by a 2716mAh non-removable battery.

The Galaxy Note 9, on the other hand, was launched in August this year and comes with a 6.40-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2960 pixels. The device is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core processor and it comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 512GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 packs a 12-megapixel primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies.
