Infinix ZERO 5G: Our Favorite Features

Infinix Mobile’s first 5G device, the Infinix ZERO 5G is now selling in the local market.  Infinix opened pre-orders for the device last month but now anyone from across the country can now purchase the device for Ksh 32,999.

Infinix says the Infinix ZERO 5G smartphone delivers the benefits of 5G – such as higher speeds, seamless connection, faster downloads and greater coverage more accessible than ever before.

MediaTek Dimensity 900 Processor

The phone runs on a 6nm high-performance MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor. Media Tek is a Tiaanese chip made renowned for its creative semiconductor architecture. Their chips are used in mobile devices, tablets, computers, and other appliances.

The MediaTek Dimensity 900 is built for high-quality video recording(4K HDR video), 5G integration, and speedy gaming capability. The 5G modem is also Wi-Fi enabled and designed to enhance performance. The processor supports dual SIM use.

5,000mAh Battery and 33W Quick-Charge

A fast-charging, long-lasting battery is a primary consideration for smartphone users. The Infinix Zero 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery that guarantees a whole day running. It makes use of 33W Quick-Charge, giving users the convenience of getting it powered within very short duration.

An interesting aspect of the charging system is that it’s integrated with technology that allows it to shut off power once it is fully charged.

The technology known as TÜV Rheinland is also responsible for the phone’s 9.4 hours of gaming, 27 days on standby, 22 hours of calling and 152 hours of music playback as tested at Infinix lab.

 8GB+3GB Extended RAM

The RAM of the Infinix Zero 5G has been improved by up to 29% from what was offered in the previous generation. This has seen the RAM decrease energy consumption by 14%.

The most remarkable aspect of the RAM is that you can extend it from 8GB to 11GB. The secret here is using part of the ROM to work as RAM when the RAM is overwhelmed ir performing demanding tasks. This feature ensures smooth performance in every aspect of the phone operations. It’s meant to push your phone to extra performance limits, especially when you need extra power.

You can perform the extension under “Storage” “MemFusion”

The Exterior

In the modern smartphone market, the phone exterior design, which ultimately gives the device its shape and looks, ranks among the most important considerations that users prioritize.

The Infinix Zero 5G is created with the “less is more”. A large 6.78” FHD+ ultra-smooth display wth a 120 Hz refresh rate. The display also offers a resolution of 1080×2460 pixels.

Uni-Curve Design

The overall design is thin from back to front. The back is built with a composite material that resembles and feels like glass. It’s easy and comfortable to touch and hold, giving a firm grip on the hand. Still, the phone remains thin and light.

The other attractive feature of the Uni-curve design is the light and shadow effect, similar to what’s found on luxury sports cars. This exceptional look makes the phone fashionable, stylish, and classy.

The Cameras

The photography aspect of the Infinix Zero 5G is built with a true commitment to outstanding photography according to Infinix. This is well asserted by all the three cameras incorporated into the device.

There is a 48MP main camera, 13MP portrait camera, 2MP virtual camera. A few things about the camera stand out. First is the Golden Portrait focal section, which gives users the equivalent of 50mm professional lens and 2X optical zoom, providing balance and depth to users’ images.

Then there is the Pro Night Style feature which hands users the most exquisite night photos. The rear camera is seamlessly blended into the back cover using a volcano-like camera bump to continue the curved design and remove harsh and irregular design curves.

Finally, there is the Contour Drop Camera module which gives an excellent balance between photography technology and comfortable handling. Infinix says the design is inspired by spacecraft and is also built to make the phon easier and comfortable to handle when using the camera.

The 30X 48MP zoom camera system is built to capture far away objects with breathtaking detail, making it even easier to photograph moments that might otherwise go unseen, bringing them up close to the action, even from great distances.

Android XOS 10

The Infinix Zero 5G runs on the Android XOS 10 software. This operating system provides well-balanced color shades to give users a dynamic mix of texture and energy at the touch of their fingertips. It also comes with a refreshed home page and redesigned icons for a brand-new upgraded look.

The OS comes with the X-Folder, an app that allows users to organize all other apps in just one click. The experience is further enhanced and made smarter by the X-Assistant, a smart assistant that intelligently sends reminders, and notifications and shares information. That’s pretty cool, right?

The Infinix Zero 5G is appealing inside-out. It has the complexity of detailed technology and the simplicity desirable for every day use. With a solid assurance on primary aspects such as long-life battery, awesome camera specs, a futuristic OS, amazing speeds and sleek design, it’s the perfect gadget for Generation Z and anyone else ready for a great treat.

The ZERO 5G is available in three colours:

  • Cosmic Black to represent the far away galaxies.
  • Skylight Orange to represent the bright and energizing sun.
  • Horizon Blue to represent the mesmerizing sky.
