Infinix Mobile has announced the availability of the Infinix HOT 8 device in Kenya. The device comes in two variants, the HOT 8 and HOT Lite.

Infinix is selling the HOT 8 at Ksh. 10,999 while the HOT 8 Lite will retail at Ksh. 9,999. Both devices will be available at Infinix outlets and XPark formerly known as infinixmall countrywide.

“The Infinix HOT series aims to empower young people with boundless entertainment experience fueled by transformative mobile technology. We observe the trends of online and offline entertainment in global emerging markets where technologies apply. We found that young people desire to connect and share their life with their communities in various ways, such as social networking, gaming, streaming, and partying.” Said Benjamin Jiang, Managing Director of Infinix Mobile.

Infinix HOT 8 Specs

The HOT 8 comes with a 6.6-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor and comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB).

The Infinix Hot 8 runs XOS 5.0 based on Android Pie and packs and is powered by a 5000mAh battery.

For the cameras the Infinix Hot 8  packs a 13-megapixel primary camera with an f/1,8 aperture and a second 2-megapixel camera. The selfie camera is 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

Infinix HOT 8 Lite Specs

The HOT 8 Lite on the features the same screen size and resolution as the HOT 8 but comes with  2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage.

The camera is also limited. It features a dual rear camera. The rear sensors are a combination of 8 MP AND 0.3 MP for the back, and a single 8-megapixel front-facing sensor. 

The battery size a large 5000mAh similar to what we have on the HOT 8. It still runs XOS 5.0 Cheetah based on Android 9 Pie
