Updated: You have until 13th Feb to Pre-order the Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 on Jumia

Huawei unveiled the Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 in Kenya this week. The device is Huawei’s latest mid-range device in the Y series featuring  6.26-inch Dewdrop display, 13MP AI Camera with a f/1.8 wide aperture lens, and an octa-core Qualcomm SoC Snapdragon 450. It also comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo powered by a 4000mAh battery.

Speaking at the launch, Steven Li, Head of Eastern Africa Mobile, said “Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 is made for today’s dynamic youth who are deeply engaged with the social media culture.  Given the rise of video-centric platforms, the HUAWEI Dewdrop Display—first debuted with the flagship HUAWEI Mate 20 Series—lends itself to great viewing experiences thanks to its top class screen-to-body ratio of 86.7 percent. The pearl-shaped notch that houses the 16MP front camera is Huawei’s smallest notch to date; it is situation on the vertical axis of the device, and does not disrupt the harmonious symmetry of the near-full screen design.”

Huawei is selling the Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 at Ksh. 17,199 and pre-orders kicked off on the day it was launched and will end on 7th February. This means you have up to 7th February to pre-order one on Jumia. The pre-orders can be made here and Huawei says consumers who pre-order will receive a special gift hamper as an appreciation. At the same time, the consumers will be entered into a lucky draw where winners will walk away with a 40” screen TV, a Huawei Band 2 and other gifts.

Huawei has also partnered with Lipa Later a credit facility that lets you pay for any device of your choice then pay monthly including Y7 Prime 2019.
