Huawei unveils the Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 in Kenya for Ksh. 17,999

Huawei Mobile Kenya has today unveiled its latest device in the Y Series, the Huawei Y7 Prime 2019. The device was launched at an event held at the New Stanley Hotel and will retail at Kshs 17,999.

Pre-orders for the phone also kicked off today until 7th February and Huawei says consumers who pre-order will receive a special gift hamper as an appreciation from selected stores across country, at the same time they will be entered into a lucky draw where winners will walk away with a 40” screen TV, a Huawei Band 2 and other gifts.

The Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 comes with a 6.26-inch Dewdrop display, 13MP AI Camera with a f/1.8 wide aperture lens, and an octa-core Qualcomm SoC Snapdragon 450. It also comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and runs on Android  8.1 Oreo powered by a 4000mAh.

Speaking at the launch, Steven Li, Head of Eastern Africa Mobile, said “HUAWEI Y7 Prime 2019 is made for today’s dynamic youth who are deeply engaged with the social media culture.  Given the rise of video-centric platforms, the HUAWEI Dewdrop Display—first debuted with the flagship HUAWEI Mate 20 Series—lends itself to great viewing experiences thanks to its top class screen-to-body ratio of 86.7 percent. The pearl-shaped notch that houses the 16MP front camera is Huawei’s smallest notch to date; it is situation on the vertical axis of the device, and does not disrupt the harmonious symmetry of the near-full screen design.”

The Huawei Y7 Prime 2019  comes in different colours: Red, Blue and Black.

Huawei has also partnered with Lipa Later a credit facility that lets you pay for any device of your choice then pay monthly including Y7 Prime 2019.
