Huawei MatePad 11 with HarmonyOS now selling in Kenya for KES 60,000

Huawei Mobile Kenya has today announced the new HUAWEI MatePad 11 is available for purchase in Kenya.

Huawei is selling the Matepad 11 for Ksh. 60,000 and is the first to feature a 120 Hz refresh rate display that Huawei says delivers incredibly fluid visuals when displaying a wide range of content.

The tablet comes with a 10.95-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The Huawei MatePad 11 runs HarmonyOS 2.0 and is powered by a 7250mAh non-removable battery.

I also need to mention that the device is one of the first tablets to run HarmonyOS 2. Huawei released this second iteration of its in-house multifaceted OS in September last year, adding support for tablets, smartphones, and wearables like smartwatches. It brings some new features like multi-screen collaboration, floating windows, App multiplier, mirror mode among others.

The tablet brings a brand-new desktop design that presents the most important information. The new Bottom Dock shows the most frequently used and recently used apps for users to easily locate their apps without hassle. New Service Widgets can also display real-time information and allow users to access certain app features without launching the apps themselves. These widgets can be placed anywhere and are also fully customizable for users to personalize their device according to their preferences.

The new Huawei MatePad 11 is also compatible with the Huawei M-Pencil (2nd generation), the Huawei stylus pen that has been upgraded to better help users capture their inspiration. The Huawei M-Pencil (2nd generation) features a new platinum-coated pen nib, an ultra-low latency, and support for 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity.

The MatePad 11 has one 13MP sensor at the back and an 8MP selfie camera module. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and a USB Type-C port.
