Fintech Startups can now apply and pitch at the Finnovation World Kenya Summit


The Finnovation World Kenya summit takes place in Nairobi on June 18. The event will bring together fitench players from Across Africa to discuss the  Digital Transformation of Banking – and how it is driving constructive economic outcomes from the fintech ecosystem in the continent.

At the Summit African fintech startups will also be pitching their ideas in what the organizers are calling the Wolves’s Den Pitch competition. 

Which startups qualify for the Finnovation World Kenya pitch competition?

The competition is open to any fintech startup operating in Africa. The Finnovation World Kenya summit is being held in Nairobi so more Kenyan startups are encouraged to apply.

At the event, the startups will be introduced to a powerful panel of leading investors, Venture Capitalists as well as African and international fintech pioneers. Each participating startup will be required to present a 10-minute pitch highlighting their value proposition and impact of their fintech solution. The panel of judges will then spend about five minutes interrogating the startups and asking questions.

The judges will then give their feedback before the overall winner is announced.

FinTech players are increasingly becoming an important part of the fabric of Africa’s financial services industry. In addition, the leading banks on the continent are now harnessing innovative technology and are also collaborating with FinTech startups and innovators to better connect with under-served consumers, improve financial inclusion and provide a platform to scale much faster.
