Wiko Mobile launches the ‘Wiko Getaway’ device into the Kenyan Market

French mobile smartphone manufacturer, Wiko has launched new model ‘Wiko Getaway’ into the Kenyan market, a move the company says marks the beginning of a series of products that Wiko plans to introduce between March and June that will enforce Wiko’s position as a strong player in the mobile phone industry.

The sophisticated design and smooth aluminum contours of The Wiko Getaway is inspired by a subtle blend of technology and aesthetics. The device has an ultra slim profile of 7.2mm which makes it light and has a leather touch finish which is smooth to the touch and is a pleasure to use. In addition, the phone boasts a powerful 13-megapixel camera. The GETAWAY is also an ingenious smartphone that gives you the choice: a SIM slot and a SIM or SD slot meaning you can have two sim cards or use one slot for an SD card.

Buyers of the Wiko Getaway will also experience a stunning 5” screen display that accentuates and optimizes and enhances HD content. Its Android 4.4 KITKAT interface allows the user to manage many different activities intuitively while enjoying excellent fluidity of navigation, thanks to its 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor and 16 GB of memory. The Wiko Getaway buyer will experience style and performance that they will be proud to show off.

The handset will come in three colors: Black, Navy Blue and White and will retail at Kshs. 20,999. It will be available immediately across most retail outlets in all major towns across the country and will come with a free 8 GB SD card.

We are also in the process of doubling our sales team to support our exponential sales growth across the country,” he added Mr. Miriti.

Wiko is also planning to partner with online shop Jumia.
