Truecaller Adds Call Recording Feature in its Android App

Truecaller Adds Call Recording Feature in its Android App

Caller ID and call tracking mobile app Truecaller has introduced a call recording feature for premium users of its Android application.

The new feature, according to Truecaller will help users report harassment and fraud.

Truecaller says all users who do not have a Premium subscription can try Call Recording for free on a 14-day trial. Although the users will have to subscribe for a premium membership should they wish to continue using the feature after the end of the trial period.

‘’With the added feature of Call Recording, this will empower their users to keep track of important conversations they have with businesses, colleagues, and people.’’ the company said in a press statement.

How Truecaller Call Recording Works.

When users dials or receives a call, they can toggle on the recording feature from the Truecaller ID screen. The call recordings will then be stored on the user’s Android phone and can be easily be accessed from the storage folder.

Truecaller the recordings strictly remain with the user and does not in any way touch its servers. It also says users who record calls are responsible for following laws around two-way consent.

Most Android phones already carry a call recording feature but this add-on feature on Truecaller will just enable users to keep a better track of their calls and conversations through a single app.

Its great to see TrueCaller introduce this feature ! I’ve personally been using CallApp for Call Recording for about a year now. I know Truecaller is nice, but from my experience CallApp is just as good (if not better) plus their Call Recorder is actually free…
