Tecno Mobile is teasing a new smartphone in the Camon series just months after launching the Camon CM. Little is being said about the device but Tecno is calling it the Camon X and is set be launched sometime in April with the international happening in Lagos in Nigeria, but the device is said to feature a camera we have not seen before.
From the little we have gathered, the phone will feature a 60 MP super pixel rear camera and a powerful dual-lens selfie camera. If the rumours are true then this is definitely something we should definitely be looking forward to.
Techweez also reports that the phone could feature an 18:9 6-inch Full HD display, 6 or 8GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of internal memory. The phone could also come with Android Oreo out of the box. It is also rumoured to come in in two variants, Camon X and Camon X Pro. Not sure what the major difference between the two devices will be.
As we said the phone is being launched a few months after Tecno unveiled the Tecno Camon CM which unfortunately we did not get chance to interact with. You can, however, read a few articles we did it here. The Camon CM was the first full-screen smartphone from Tecno Mobile featuring an 18.9 aspect ratio.
Well, all we will do is wait for Transsion Holdings, the parent company of the Tecno brands to unveil the brand. Remember Transsion was the biggest smartphone and feature phone vendor on the continent in Q3 2017, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC). They would definitely want to grow their market share in 2018 by unveiling more devices.
We will have more details in the coming weeks, subscribe to ensure you don’t miss out on anything.
