Nokia 6.1 Plus starts selling in Kenya for Ksh. 31,900

HMD Global has announced the availability of the Nokia 6.1 Plus in Kenya. The Nokia 6.1 Plus joins the Android One family of Nokia smartphones and will be available for Ksh. 31,900.

“In China this year we introduced the Nokia X6, our first smartphone with an all-screen design and our fans around the world made it very clear that they wanted to see more of the same from us. This excitement for a cutting-edge smartphone with a contemporary design prompted us to introduce a device using the same formula. We are launching the Nokia 6.1 Plus because you asked for it and we’re excited to continue delivering the first-class experiences and quality expected from a Nokia smartphone.”  Gopher Ogembo, Senior Business Manager, East Africa, HMD Global said.

The Nokia 6.1 comes with a 5.80-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 2280 pixels. It is powered by octa-core processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 400GB via a microSD card.

For the cameras, the Nokia 6.1 Plus packs a 16-megapixel (f/2.0) + 5-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 16-megapixel front shooter for selfies. It is also powered by a 3060mAh battery and comes with Android Oreo™ out of the box.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus comes as a Dual SIM variant, with two colour options, Gloss Black and Gloss Midnight Blue.
