LinkedIn on Tuesday unveiled a completely revamped user interface for its messaging service in what it says is aimed at offering users an easier and more lightweight way to have professional conversations with there connections.

”Starting today, we are rolling out a new messaging experience on LinkedIn that offers an easier and more lightweight way to have professional conversations with your connections.” the company said in a blog post

”We know many of you have been asking for this ability and we’ve taken a thoughtful approach to reflect the evolving ways professionals are communicating with one another today, as well as, the different ways our members are interacting with each other across our international markets”

In what seems like a’Chat-Style’ Interface, the business-focused social network says it has rebuilt everything from the ground up so users can expect a cleaner and more streamlined look and also to allow for easy back and forth messaging.

”We’ve also organized all the messages around the people that matter to you, which means you’ll be able to easily reference the last conversation you had right within the thread. We’ve also improved our push and email notifications to make it easier to stay on top of the conversations that are most relevant and important to you” the company said.

The company has also added a new feature to its messaging service. In addition to being able to attach photos and documents to your messages, user can also add stickers, emojis and GIFs to insert a little extra personality into the conversations they are having with their connections.

The revamped messaging feature  has already been rolled out to English-speaking users around the world on iOS, Android, and the desktop and the company says it is planning to make it accessible in other languages in the coming weeks.
