iWayAfrica Zimbabwe, a Gondwana International Network (GIN) company has been awarded its Cisco Select Certified Partner status. Achieving this status certifies that iWayAfrica Zimbabwe has demonstrated the technical ability and product knowledge necessary to sell, install and support Cisco solutions. In addition, iWayAfrica Zimbabwe has also met the requirements for small and midsized business specialisation.

Nhena Nyagura, Managing Director, iWayAfrica Zimbabwe says that this was a sought after certification for the company: “We are pleased to have achieved Cisco Select Certified Partner status. It has strengthened iWayAfrica’s credibility as a Cisco partner and specialist and will assist in growing the business.”

As a Select Certified Partner, iWayAfrica Zimbabwe will receive numerous program benefits including participation in Cisco VIP Express, Cisco Opportunity Investment Program (OIP), access to Cisco Partner Education Connection (PEC) and customer financing programs offered through Cisco Capital.

The evolution of the Cisco Small and Midsize Business (SMB) Specialisation, achieved by iWayAfrica Zimbabwe, represents a combination of the former Small Business (SB) and Small Business Foundation (SBF) Specialisations. “This requirement mirrors the architectural strategy of Cisco advanced-level specialisations, positioning SMB partners to sell strategically across all technologies,” says Nyagura.

Borderless Networks, Collaboration, and Data Center topics all feature in this specailisation, along with updated Services training. He says that Cisco will also introduce training for cloud concepts, SMB-level Cisco TelePresence products, and virtualisation and data center switching.

Nyagura says that as a Cisco Select Certified Partner, iWayAfrica Zimbabwe is among a small group of specialists within Zimbabwe: “We have significant plans to build on this accreditation, aiming for Premier Certified Partner and Gold status thereafter and becoming a recognised Cisco specialist within the region.”
