Infinix ZERO 5 Unboxing and first impressions (Pictures), Pricing and Availability

The Infinix ZERO 5 was launched a couple of weeks ago in Dubai. The launch was the first international launch Infinix Mobile was doing and what this basically means is Infinix is now eyeing the Middle East Market.

Infinix launched two devices, the  Infinix ZERO 5 and its Pro version, the Infinix ZERO 5 Pro.  speaking during the launch, Global Head of Infinix, Benjamin Jiang, said the company believes believe the Infinix ZERO 5 speaks to the middle-Class consumer demand in the Dual-camera smartphone segment.

The Zero series at large has been our flagship product globally by virtue of its innovative features and validates our R&D prowess. It has witnessed brilliant performance in key global markets such as Middle East, Africa, south-east Asia,” he said.

We got the Infinix ZERO 5 thanks to our good friends at Infinix Mobile and in this article, we will be unboxing the device and sharing some few photos and telling you about our first impression of the device. But one thing we can tell you for sure is that  Infinix did a good job on this device. The Infinix ZERO 5 promises some high-end specifications that allow it to compete favorably in the market.

Packaging

I love the packaging. The Infinix ZERO 5 is packed in a box with a Bold ZERO 5 print splashed at the front.

What’s inside the box?

Opening the box, the phone is neatly placed at the top.

Underneath the phone, you have the user manual and a transparent elastics case.

Removing the case you get three white small boxes each containing a USB type C cable, earphones and a power plug.

That’s all we have in the box. And here we have the Infinix ZERO 5 with an impressive metallic design with a 5.98 full HD inch screen. The screen has a 2.5D curve at the edges and a resolution of 1080 by 1920 pixels with 403 pixels.

The 12MP and 13MP dual camera with optical zoom are well fitted at the back (Remember this is one of the key selling points of the device). The front camera is 16MP.  The fingerprint sensor is also placed at the back below the camera and this makes it so easy to reach with the finger.

The speaker grill, the charging port, and headphone jack are all placed at the bottom.

The power button, volume rocker, and SIM card tray, on the other hand, are positioned on the right. The SIM card tray is also on the right while the SD card tray is positioned on the left side.

First thoughts and impression

The Infinix ZERO 5 looks good, I love the design, although the device looks heavier than the previous devices in the ZERO line up. Infinix Zero 5 also debuts as the first amongst Infinix devices to come with dual back camera setup and optical zoom feature.

The devices comes with a powerful Octa-core processor that clocks at 2.6 GHz with Mediatek Helio P25 for a top-notch processing speed. The RAM capacity is 6GB with 64GB ROM which is really commendable for Infinix. This only means that multitasking on a device with that  RAM size will be a bliss, can’t wait.

Infinix has also made some adjustments on the camera and according to the teasers it has been sending out, it boasts that the camera delivers high-quality images. The company put much emphasis on the portrait mode.  Benjamin Jiang, Global Head of Infinix, said during the launch of this device that the company’s vision is to take smartphone photography to a level where it bridges the gap between amateur & professional photography.

You can check our Instagram page to find this out from the photos we will be sharing testing the camera.
