The agreement will feature meetings with stakeholders in the manufacturing, water, agriculture and energy sectors as well as in academia to discuss the dynamics of each sector in relation to technology transfer. The outcome will be an effective plan in addressing productivity, efficiency and energy management through technology transfer.

The MoU focuses on areas like manufacturing, energy auditing and technology transfer institutions so as to create affordable and efficient technology sector solutions. “Additionally, in the energy sector, we also experience some issues in that, the energy auditors don’t have a good understanding of technology transfer whilst the industry themselves don’t understand how to integrate solutions that could lead to proper Returns on Investments (ROI),” remarked Dr. Kevit.

“ I am  very excited about this partnership we have made today with CSL on promoting Mitsubishi automated products and wish to call on JICA to support Mitsubishi  as we try to expand  into other markets using Japan technology, stated Dave Wibberley, MD, Adroit Technologies. Mr. Dave also requested Japan International Cooperation Agency to join this exciting initiative.

On his part, JICA, Senior Representative, Koji Noda expressed commitment to continue supporting such initiatives to aid economic diversification, especially in the manufacturing sector. He stated that this will give and add value addition to the country and appreciate its importance.
