Cheki to hold free automotive educational event in Nairobi

In a bid to increase the public’s knowledge on issues in the automotive sector, Kenya’s online car trade platform, cheki.co.ke will on 21st November be hosting an educative car bazaar at the Carnivore Grounds.

Dubbed “Cheki Sato” the event will see individual and corporate car buyers and sellers, financiers, stakeholders and government agencies interact and convey information to the public on various issues affecting the industry.

This comes at a time when sector experts project strong growth in new-vehicle registrations this year as a result of robust construction, energy-sector development and continued middle class spending despite the Kenya shilling’s depreciation against the US Dollar. It also comes comes on the backdrop of a rapidly expanding automotive retail and distribution sector due to infrastructure development, increasing incomes and access to credit facilities backed by the entry of new vehicle brands into the Kenyan market.

Building on the first successful event, the online company aims to reach even more Kenyans by organizing this free face to face meet up with an aim of educating them about the automotive industry.

“We are holding Cheki Sato to educate Kenyans and expose them to an array of car purchase options alongside information that will empower them to make great decisions in regard to selling, purchasing, financing, car safety and maintenance”,  Ms. Wambura Kimunyu, Regional General Manager, Cheki EA said.

Cheki Sato will provide a platform for the general public to get first-hand information on the process of vehicle trading, laws and regulations involved and the key considerations to make when purchasing a vehicle.

“We want to provide information, linkages and networks to all Kenyans providing the crucial information necessary when making car purchase transactions in Kenya and we thank both the Ministry of Transport for endorsing our efforts”, added Ms. Wambura.

The 1-day event is free to the general public.
