So why the name DTEK50? Well, the phone has actually been named after its DTEK software. What the software does is monitor when your system is at risk. It also alerts you when phone applications take photos or videos without your knowledge, turn on your microphone, send text amonn other things. Probably this could be the reason Blackberry is calling the DTEK50  “the world’s most secure Android smartphone.” In short, the software will automatically monitor your OS and apps and let you know when your privacy could be at risk and how you can take action to improve it.
